A teepee is a room within a room — a small, defined world a child can call their own. The trick to styling one is restraint: a teepee already brings shape and height, so everything around it should feel soft and quiet.
Start with a layered base. A quilted mat inside, a sheepskin or two, and one large floor cushion is plenty. Keep the palette to two or three natural tones so the eye can rest.
Add a single string of lights or a muslin garland over the opening — never both. A small shelf nearby for three or four favourite books finishes the corner without crowding it.
Finally, leave room to play. The best children’s spaces are never fully styled; they’re started, then handed over.
